Simple, effective tools for living well and feeling great!
Today's practice for you is a simple but effective way of checking the volume of air you are breathing in (most of us inhale less than 20% of our total lung capacity!) plus it get you to be fully connecting with your body so in my eyes, that's a win-win!
The practice is called the Chest-Heart Breath.
To do: Place your thumbs into your arm pits, palms down parallel to floor, fingers pointing inwards. Middle fingers should be touching. As you breathe in, the chest expands, and the middle finger tips separate. As you breathe out, finger tips come together again. Focus on Chest Heart Breath for 5 minutes...then resting your hands on your thighs, palms facing upwards in spirit of receiving, allow your breath to become natural and easeful. With your eyes closed, focus on feeling gratitude for your breath, and your life.
